Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel Review

I believe that many people have heard of the reputation of Sheraton Hotel. Because it is a long-established hotel, today I will review Sheraton Hotel Taipei branch. I booked a room using Platinum members, so I would review dinner and afternoon tea in the lounge as well. Let’s start with the room first.

Room Type

I had the opportunity to stay in two types: Deluxe King Room and Executive Deluxe King

Deluxe King Room

Deluxe King Room is an upgraded room from Superior King Room. It is a king-size bed room with a desk and one chair. The window has a small table and 2 armchairs. Hotel also provide two pack of popcorn snacks.

Bathroom

The bathroom has an automatic toilet and a shower and bathtub

The washbasin area has basic amenities such as shower caps, lotions, toothbrushes, toothpastes, combs, shavings. Sheraton uses soaps, shampoos, lotions and conditioners from Le Grand Bain, which are products with a unique fragrance.

Room amenities

In addition, the hotel also provides water, tea, coffee and kettles. If you needs ice, you can inform the staff at any time.

If you wants to iron clothes, there is also an iron and ironing board in the closet.

Executive Deluxe King

Let’s talk about another upgraded room, Executive Deluxe King, this room is decorated in brighter color shade than the Deluxe King room, making it feel more comfortable. But the bed is still remain in king size, and is smaller than the Deluxe King room. (I’m not sure why).

Larger desk and chair are more comfortable than Deluxe King Room. Nespresso coffee machines are provided with 2 capsules of coffee. Welcome drinks are Pepsi and Pocari.

This bathrobe is obviously softer than the one in Deluxe King room, those fabric is rough.

The bathroom is the same as Deluxe King. There is an automatic toilet, shower and bathtub. Amenities are also the same. But this room has soap, shampoo and conditioner attached to the wall in the shower zone.

Breakfast at hotel

The breakfast room here is located on the first floor in the middle between the two sides of the building, spacious, be able yo accommodate many seats

The breakfast here is superb. There are so many choices to choose. Mainly, it’s a typical breakfast, bacon, eggs, sausages, Chinese-style porridge, salads, and cornflakes.

My favorite zone is the bread zone. Because there are many types of bread, I like to try different breads, so I especially like it. There are also a variety of butter and jam flavors to choose

In my opinion, the breakfast here is very worth it. I recommend booking a room with breakfast. If you don’t book a room with breakfast, you will have to pay an additional 700 NTD per person.

Sheraton Club Lounge

If you are a Platinum Marriot member, you will be able to enter the lounge, have dinner and afternoon tea

The dinner at the lounge is not as magnificent as the breakfast room on the 1st floor. It is a typical buffet dinner. The good thing is that the staff would refill the food all the time.

There are wines and liquors for you to mix and make your own cocktails, they prepare mixer and ice as well

Afternoon Tea

The afternoon tea here will be available from 14.00 – 16.00. There will be sushi, crackers, bakery. You can sit and relax

Sauna and Onsen

The hotel offers a fitness centre, swimming pool, sauna and hot bath for guests to spend time relaxing. I have tried sauna and hot bath. The sauna and hot bath are separate for men and women because you have to undress all. Before you enter to the sauna, you will have to contact the fitness counter, and the staff will provide silicone bracelets you can use this bracelet to open the sauna door.
